Mia Carbonell is Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for Rodale, the authoritative source for trusted content in health and wellness around the world. She joined the company in 2005 and directs Rodale's corporate publicity, internal communications, philanthropic activities and events. Carbonell also oversees publicity for the company's magazine brands, including Men's Health, Prevention, Women's Health, Runner's World, Best Life, Bicycling, Running Times, and Organic Gardening; its books such as the international bestselling titles The South Beach Diet and The Abs Diet franchises; and Rodale's extensive Web sites and subscription Web site businesses.

Prior to joining Rodale, Carbonell served as Executive Director of Corporate Communications for Time Warner from 2002-2005. In her role, she was responsible for day-to-day media relations activities. Prior to joining Time Warner, Carbonell worked at Seagram/Vivendi Universal serving as Director of External Communications from 1999 to 2002. She also served as a television reporter in Miami from 1993 to 1998 with ABC affiliate WPLG Channel 10 and Telemundo's local station WSCV Channel 51. She began her career in the public relations industry working at Hill and Knowlton in New York.

Carbonell holds an Ed.M from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BSLA from Georgetown University.
