Is ‘An Orgasm a Day’ Really Such a Bad Idea?

The latest sex advice has the British up in arms.
RODALE NEWS, EMMAUS, PA—Reports of the British government’s so-called “Orgasm a Day” initiative aimed at schoolchildren is stirring up all sorts of controversy. The leaflet, distributed to students, and parents, and youth workers, reportedly states: “Health promotion experts advocate five portions of fruit and veg a day and 30 minutes physical activity three times a week. What about sex or masturbation twice a week?” Parent and family groups are up in arms over the brochure, saying it could promote underage sex and sexually transmitted infections.
THE DETAILS: Setting aside the question of whether the “orgasm” pamphlet is appropriate for schoolchildren, masturbation does have its benefits, says Debby Herbenick, PhD, research scientist at Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion. That includes helping young women and men learn about their bodies and find out what feels good to them, so that when they are older and are ready, they will be able to communicate with a partner about what feels good. “Masturbation can also help some young women and men to relieve sexual tension or to fall asleep, or to feel less sexually frustrated if they are trying to abstain from or delay sex with a partner,” she adds.

Teaching Kids Selfishness Early
It is also a proven fact that people who please themselves often times have trouble pleasing others. Selfishness in general does not make for a good relationship with others, especially in the bedroom. So now, children are being exposed once again to the idea that "It's OK, please yourself". No wonder there are so many self-centered people in this world!!
Kids, spend your time just being a kid. Go to the beach, skateboard, play games, read a book, surf the net, watch a movie, excercise, learn how to cook, whatever. Sex isn't the answer to boredom!!

Looks like the Limeys are addressing the issue head-on aye? Folks are either gonna self gratify or not. Teaching it simply isn't necessary and to extoll the health benefits as a reason to is over the top.
Too much huh?

School Suggesting Sex?!?!
In the past 10-15 years, public schools have become too overbearing, nosy, inpatient, innappropriate and
just plain mean! I have noticed lots of changes from
the time I was a senior to the year my son was a senior. Times have really changed, and not in a good
way! Now do I have this correct? There's a school that has given notices to parents AND students, regarding the education of sex and masturbation! I believe the school is overstepping their boundaries,
again! I think it's up to the parents on when, where
and how their children will be educated about sex! It's just not a subject to be taken lightly or to be
taught lightly! Ok, so masturbation may be good for your kids? Well, why don't we let the parents make a
decision like that, and not the school! The public school system have really gone too far this time!
