RODALE NEWS, EMMAUS, PA—Holiday mishaps at your house may be more of the burned pies and overcooked ham variety, but there's a lot more that can go wrong. The Emergency Nurses Association says that U.S. visits to emergency rooms spike by about 13,000 between November and January, which is no fun for hospital staff and puts even more of a damper on the patients' holiday cheer.
