Man’s Best Magazine Seeks Out Man’s Ultimate Best Friend with Launch of the First-Ever Ultimate Men’s Health Dog Search, Presented by the PEDIGREE® Brand

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (March 28, 2017)—Men’s Health, a Rodale Inc. brand, is pleased to debut The Ultimate Men’s Health Dog Search, presented by the PEDIGREE® Brand. Launched today with a call for entries on MensHealth.com, the contest is the magazine’s first ever search for man’s ultimate best friend. The winning dog will claim the title of The Ultimate Men’s Health Dog and be featured online and in the July/August 2017 issue of Men’s Health magazine.

Inspired by and modeled after The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search—the magazine’s successful annual program that celebrates the men who best exemplify the spirit of the brand in their daily lives—The Ultimate Men’s Health Dog Search seeks to find the dog that truly embodies all it means to be man’s best friend: a companion that is loyal, helpful, and entertaining as well as a catalyst for positive change, even if that just means getting its owner off the couch a few times a day for a walk around the block.

A panel of judges, including Men’s Health editors and special guests, will consider a range of criteria, from acts of valor and intelligence to quirky habits and general cuteness, as they complete the daunting task of naming the first ever Ultimate Men’s Health Dog. The general public will also have the opportunity to vote online for their ultimate dog as part of the Readers’ Choice competition.

They inspire in so many ways and often serve as a true stimulus for good in the lives of our readers,” says Men’s Health editor-in-chief Matt Bean. “After years of anointing The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy, it’s time we honor his best friend.”

The PEDIGREE® Brand will serve as the contest’s inaugural presenting sponsor in support of the brand’s FEED THE GOOD campaign, which is dedicated to the idea that dogs and humans bring out the good in each other.
