Men’s Health Announces Launch of The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search, Presented by Jockey

NEW YORK (March 15, 2017) — Men’s Health, a Rodale Inc. brand, today announced the launch of The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search. The contest, presented by Jockey, kicks off with a national call for entries in the magazine’s April issue, which is now available on newsstands. The winner will be featured on the cover of the November 2017 issue of Men’s Health magazine and win the coveted title of The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy.

The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search is an annual nationwide search for the man that best embodies the well-rounded, active, health-conscious, and community-oriented lifestyle seen throughout the pages of Men’s Health; in short, he is fit and fearless and brings the spirit of Men’s Health to life every day. Through June 20, 2017, men 18 and older are encouraged to enter by submitting their own compelling story at ultimateguy.menshealth.com. From the entries, Men’s Health editors will identify nine men who, along with the Readers’ Choice winner, will continue as semifinalists in the competition. In July the top three finalists, as determined by this year’s panel of judges, will be flown to New York City for a photo shoot and to make a final pitch for why they should be named 2017’s Ultimate Men’s Health Guy. The winner will be revealed with the release of the November 2017 issue of Men’s Health.

Jockey, which was the apparel category sponsor of The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search in 2016, returns to the program this year as the presenting sponsor in support of the brand’s “Show ’Em What’s Underneath. Show ’Em Your Jockey” campaign. Jockey’s inspiring #ShowEm campaign centers on individuals who embody the spirit and values of the brand and the characteristics that make them unique.

Now entering its fourth year, The Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search has proven to be a life-changing platform for past winners and finalists. This year’s winner will succeed emergency medicine physician and U.S. Army Ranger Jed Ballard (2016), Kentucky firefighter Tim Boniface (2015), and U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway (2014). Galloway, who lost his left arm and leg serving in Iraq, went on to compete on Dancing with the Stars (ABC) and served as a mentor on American Grit (Fox).
