vaccine shortage
Seasonal-Flu Vaccine Shortage Caused by H1N1 Vaccine Production
With all the talk about flu in the air, demand for seasonal-flu shots are high—but manufacturers' shipments can't keep up.
Topics: swine flu (h1n1)
Can't get a flu shot yet because of the vaccine shortage? Be patient. Most orders will be shipped out later this month, long before the seasonal flu's winter peak.
Sneezing season is here, but the seasonal flu shot isn't...yet.
RODALE NEWS, EMMAUS, PA—Call it the two-flu flummox. For weeks and months, medical experts and the media, (including Rodale.com), have been taking pains to explain that this year, there are two flu vaccines that almost everyone should get: one for the "usual" seasonal flu, and another for swine (H1N1) flu. But the resulting demand has led to a seasonal-vaccine shortage, even as we wait for the first H1N1 vaccines to become available.
All over the country, seasonal-flu-shot clinics are being cancelled or postponed because healthcare providers are running out of the vaccine. Schedules for flu vaccination programs are being disrupted in many states because vaccine manufacturers have delayed shipments or reduced the number of doses they plan to send out. Demand for seasonal-flu vaccine has been high for this time of the year, partly because public health officials have urged people to get the seasonal-flu vaccine out of the way early, before the swine-flu, or H1N1, vaccine is available. The H1N1 vaccine started rolling into some states this week, and a huge batch will be sent out later this month.
THE DETAILS: Five separate influenza-vaccine manufacturers are licensed to produce flu vaccine for the U.S. market. Clinics and doctor's offices often schedule vaccination programs around those production schedules, but this year is different because vaccination manufacturers were also busy producing the H1N1 vaccine on a tight schedule. "They all have their own distinctive distribution systems," explains William Schaffner, MD, chair of the department of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. "Further, they all make serial shipments over time. If you have a locally brisk demand, an individual doctor or clinic could run out of vaccine for the moment. They ought to be able to get more, but it could take some time."

Seasonal flu vaccine clinics
Seasonal flu vaccine clinics across the country are being forced to shut down because of sporadic shortages. -AnyLabTestNow.com

How self righteous you are.
Flu vaccinations
I'm surprised that Rodale is seemingly promoting the flu shots, in lieu of telling people how to boost their immune systems to avoid the flu. These vaccinations are dangerous. (please see info from Dr. Len Horowitz). In addition, the late Dr. Hilleman (formerly the world's expert on vaccines) called vaccines "bargain basement technology for the twentieth century." Depending on the vaccine, their ingredients variously include thimerosal (contains mercury), ammonia, formaldehyde, animal tissue, and tissue from aborted human fetuses (diploid cells, lung tissue). I remember back in 1976 when the swine flu vaccinations killed more people (appx. 30) than died from that flu, while hundreds of people developed Guillain Barre syndrome caused by the vaccine. Why didn't Rodale mention probiotics instead? Or colloidal silver (used safely for many decades; it's the twisted propaganda that claims it is poison). Haven't had a flu shot in decades, and haven't had the flu longer than 12 hours at the most (the secret is to sweat, sweat, sweat, while drinking a hot beverage at the same time; this is the method that I've used for decades to cure myself of flu within only 8-12 hours after symptoms first appear, but one needs to start this treatment quickly, generally within the first ten to fifteen minutes). Dumb dumb sheeple, receiving their vaccinations en masse. I'm not saying that all vaccines are bad, but are all of them good or necessary? People, think! Educate yourselves. Don't be a lemming by blindly follow the masses.
