New York, NY (October 14, 2010) – Rodale Inc.’s Organic Gardening today announced that the digital edition of the publication, designed exclusively for the iPad, is now available for purchase in the Apple App store for $3.99. Organic Gardening is the first gardening magazine to enter the iPad market, and this is the first app offering from the brand. The Organic Gardening iPad launch marks the fifth Rodale title to enter the iPad market.
The October/November issue of Organic Gardening serves as the title’s inaugural digital edition. Users will receive a host of multimedia and interactive content, plus exclusive videos from Rodale Inc.’s CEO Maria Rodale and an excerpt from Hybrid, Noel Kingsbury’s highly acclaimed history of plant hybridization, published by the University of Chicago Press.
In addition to the in-depth coverage of organic gardening techniques, plants and design found in the print edition of the magazine, users will be able to dig deeper into Organic Gardening’s world with bonus content not found in the actual issue, including inspiring photo galleries and many delicious and healthy recipes to supplement those featured in the issue. Most appealing to users at all levels of garden ability will be the how-to videos bringing the art and craft of organic gardening vividly to life.
