Prevention Magazine’s First-Ever Take Charge Tour Rolls Into Chicago

Special guests Olympian Dara Torres and NBC TODAY anchor/journalist Hoda Kotb will be Prevention’s Take Charge Inspirational Icons. Featuring updates on the latest findings in nutrition, fitness, and age-defying beauty from Prevention, financial planning sessions and career seminars, nutrition consultations and cooking demos, and preventative medical screenings, this free-to-the-public, one-day-only event is a one-stop destination for taking charge of your health. From 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd in Millennium Park’s Chase Promenade South, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with prominent experts in health and wellness, experience and partake in fitness demonstrations and preventative medical screenings, and try new and different healthy products. Giveaways, cooking demonstrations, surprise age-defying makeovers, and motivational stories will be featured throughout the day.

Dara Torres is an Olympian, New York Times bestselling author, mother, role model, and arguably the fastest female swimmer in America. She is the first American swimmer to compete in five Olympic Games and has won a total of 12 Olympic medals in her career. In 2008 Dara captured the hearts and minds of people of all ages when she launched her comeback as a new mother at the age of 41 – eight years after her last Olympics and her retirement from competitive swimming.
