Salvatore will report to Bill Stump, SVP/Editorial Director, Prevention, Organic Gardening, and Rodale.com, and will oversee all editorial operations for the magazine.

Prevention ad pages are up 11% through the September 2010 issue (the September 2010 issue is up over 16%). Earlier this summer, Prevention was included in a swift, elite group of magazines to launch on the iPad and currently has three well-performing iApps, with another on the way. Last week (Wednesday 7/28) marked the biggest day in Prevention.com site history in terms of unique visitors (435K) and page views (over 6MM). In 2009, nearly 50 million Prevention-branded products were sold, including magazines, SIPs, bookazines, iPhone applications, DVDs, online subscription services and branded books like the #1 New York Times best-selling Flat Belly Diet!
Previously, Salvatore was the Editor-in-Chief of Ladies’ Home Journal. She was also Director of Editorial Operations at Hearst Magazine Division; Editor-in-Chief of YM, Executive Director of Marie Claire; and Vice President and Publisher at Broadway Books/Random House. She was an ASME board member from 2008-2009, and has won several prestigious industry awards, including the Folio: 40, Industry Leaders with Impact recognition, the Folio Gold Eddie Award for Best Women’s Lifestyle Magazine, and the Athena Award for executing excellence in health journalism from Columbia University.
