Rodale Inc. Names Kristin Kiser VP Deputy Publisher, Trade Books and Director of Author Programs

NEW YORK, NY—June 11, 2013–Rodale Inc., the world’s leading healthy lifestyle company, announced today that Kristin Kiser has been named VP Deputy Publisher, Trade Books and Director of Author Programs effective July 1. In this position Kiser will develop Rodale’s publishing program, as well as new products and initiatives with current and perspective authors and brands, and will work closely with Macmillan, Rodale’s distributor. Reporting to Kiser will be the Sales, Marketing, Art, Rights, and Digital (Ebooks) departments. Kiser will report to Rodale Books VP/Publisher Mary Ann Naples.

Prior to Hyperion, Kiser spent eleven years at Crown, rising from Editor to Editorial Director, where she acquired and edited titles by New York Times bestselling authors Suzanne Somers, John Gottman, Derek Jeter, Gene Simmons, and others, and led an editorial team that acquired bestsellers by President Barack Obama, Timothy Ferriss, and Jillian Michaels.
