Sixth Increase Since the October 2005 Launch of the Women’s Lifestyle Title
NEW YORK, August 11, 2009 – Women’s Health (www.WomensHealthMag.com), the women’s lifestyle magazine published by Rodale Inc., will raise its rate base to 1.5 million from its current 1.35 million-rate base, effective with the January/February 2010 issue, it was announced today by SVP/Publisher Jack Essig. The 11% increase marks the sixth increase for the title and a 275% jump since its official launch in October 2005:

Strong consumer demand for the magazine is the driving force behind the increased rate base. Year-to-date, Women’s Health has experienced a 30% increase in total paid circulation over the same period in 2008 (January-June 2009, Publisher’s Estimate).
“Women’s Health has editions covering 21 countries and reaching more than 11 million readers around the world,” said Essig. “Women everywhere are embracing the brand for its straightforward and unique approach to health, fitness, beauty, sex, relationships and fashion coverage, which has led to our tremendous success.”
